In 2008, Yoani Sanchez was, according to Time magazine, one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World in the Heroes and Pioneers category. What won her this prestigious title was her blog, Generation Y, an "exercise in cowardice", as she puts it. Yoani defies the cuban regime´s restrictions to freedom of speech and, thanks to many people that collaborate with her, manages to send her message around the world. Giving her a hand is something that has given me great pleasure in the last two days. Her blog is once again available in greek here.
